Bunny Smedley

Cheers for the link and kind words, JL. I'm thrilled this place is up and running again, to put it mildly - Modern Kicks is a much-needed counterpoint, both in terms of content and tone, to so much else that goes on in this increasingly curious world.

The Louise Bourgeois piece is fascinating, by the way, but - well, I haven't seen the actual pictures or read what the artist has to say about them, but 'writing as a woman' (!) and going by the images that accompany the article, I've got to say that I never in a million years would have thought to read them the way the author of review did, nor would I have expected anyone to ring me up and apologise for them. Odd.

What Bunny said.

Thanks to you both, but it's probably a bit premature to be welcoming me back. Better to wait until a few more posts go up, I'd think.

Welcome back!

Hey, I'm still here. Just give me something to write about. Everything's been so boring lately.

Arthur Whitman

You sound so sprightly for a dying man.

We're all dying men, Arthur. And I feel better than I have in years. Unfortunately, I'm also very boring these days. Perhaps that will change, but now I'm off to eat my oatmeal.
