Half Brother Clovis

Done twice, for the east and west coasts! Got to love the spontaneity of live TV.

Half Brother Clovis

Twice, I say.

Don't worry they are trying the oh so excitng wedding trick too -later in the season. Honest. Ellie (Bartlet's middle daughter) is getting married. Not a spoiler .... announcement was in a recent episode.

Lordy, I thought (okay, in a moment of partial senescence - but we'll all have those soon enough) you might have been talking about the debate between the UK Tory leadership contenders. I am so glad you are not. Count your blessings, hear?

Half Brother Clovis

Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits doing a fake Tory leadership debate would be MUCH more entertaining.

I have to agree. However unbearable the real thing might be, the thought of those two trying on English accents is comedy gold.

Having a little conflict in the show has actually made it a little better over the past year, even if Alan Alda's character is about as plausible as . . . well, pretty much anything on The West Wing (Nobel-prizing Democratic governor from NH becomes President? With a high-ranking aide whose father was in the mafia? Oh, let's get a little spice in and give him MS.) Too much time spent with everyone being noble and selfless and all that. I want to see the West Wing where one aide destroys another's career in order to get an office closer to the President's. That would be entertaining.
